Hallelujah!

Wir sind glücklich und erfüllt von den Tages des Kirchentags in Nürnberg.

Nachdem Mary und Liyatu gut an Deutschland angekommen sind, herzlich willkommen geheißen durch die Flughafenseelsorge und ihre erste Bahnfahrt mit einem ICE geschafft haben, bereiteten wir uns auf das große Christentreffen vor.

Mittwoch nachmittag haben wir noch unseren Stand aufgebaut und am Abend das Begegnngsfest in der Innenstadt genossen.

We are happy and filled with the days of the Kirchentag in Nuremberg. After Mary and Liyatu arrived safely in Germany, warmly welcomed by the airport pastoral care and managed their first train journey with an ICE, we prepared for the big Christian meeting. On Wednesday afternoon we set up our stand and in the evening we enjoyed the get-together in the city centre.

Drei Tage auf unserem Stand im "Markt der Möglichkeiten" haben uns viel Spaß gemacht, uns mit vielen Menschen ins Gespräch gebracht und die Situation von Witwen in Nigeria und unsere Arbeit als "Widows Care" bekannter gemacht.

Wir hoffen, dadurch auch neue Spender.innen gewonnen zu haben.

"kuli-kuli" und "ridi", von Mary und Liyatu mitgebracht, fanden viel Zuspruch und Lob.

Ach, Sie wissen nicht, was das ist? Kuli-kuli" sind Ernusskekse, aus den Resten der Erdnussölherstellung und "ridi" ist das Hausawort für in Salz geröstete und damit für ewig haltber gemachte Sesamkerne.

Aber am besten kamen die Tromnmeln an.

We had a lot of fun three days at our booth in the "Market of Opportunities", brought us into conversation with many people and made the situation of widows in Nigeria and our work as "Widows Care" better known.We hope to have gained new donors as a result."kuli-kuli" and "ridi", brought by Mary and Liyatu, were well received and praised. Oh, you don't know what that is? "Kuli-kuli" are peanut biscuits made from the leftovers of peanut oil production and "ridi" is the Hausa word for sesame seeds roasted in salt and thus preserved forever.

But the drums were the best.
